Happy new year! According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2017 is the year of the chicken. So to celebrate the start of the year, I made a chicken granny square. It can work as a dish cloth, or you can make many squares and join them to make a blanket. I had so much fun crocheting it that I decide to try to make other animals. I'm currently working on a dog granny square. I'll be sharing it with you soon.

DeleteI think this thing is adorable and I'm trying to make it as a washcloth. (Farm set? So great!) Anyhows, I'm new to crocheting, so maybe it's just me. But I'm having the darndest time with the square! In round 8, I'm supposed to have a total of 60 stitches? Well, why does round 9 have more than that? I keep running out of stitches. Any thoughts on what's going on?

Having a bit of trouble with the upper comb, where to we place the dcs after we dc into "the same stitch?"
ReplyDeleteHi Abbey
DeleteI apologize for the delay in response. when you end the first upper comb row, you have four dcs, so start working on them. ch3 that counts as first dc, and dc1 in first dc of previous row, then in the next dc make two dcs and so on.
