Heart of Hearts Valentines Beret

Hello everyone! It's not usual for me to knit for Valentine’s Day, but I got inspired this year, and thought, why not make a heart themed item that can be a quick gift for a loved one. So, this beret is what I bring you for this year's Valentine’s. I’ve knitted two versions with different yarn weights, as you will see in the rest of this post. For version A, I worked with worsted yarn and used 5 and 6 mm needles, which produced a hat that turned out very big with a loose fit. As for version B I switched to a multi colored, sport weight yarn, which I knitted using 4 and 4.5 mm needles. The resulting hat was more fitted this time. I personally think that both versions have their own charm, so it is up to you to decide which one to make based on what fit you prefer. Hope you all have a love filled Valentine’s Day!

Candy Corn Sweater (Adult Size)

UPDATE 28-Aug-2021: I forgot to upload the chart for the candy corn pattern when I posted this yesterday. You can find it now at the end of the post. I apologize for the confusion.

Hi everyone! Since summer season is technically over in a few days, I can’t wait to start working on new project for fall and winter. My contributions for Halloween this year have been mainly wearable items: starting with my two Halloween hats (Here and Here), and now this sweater. This is actually the adult version of my "Candy Corn Sweater" that I've designed back in 2019. It has been sitting in my to-do-list for a while since it was requested by a kind person, and I thought there is no better time than now to get this done. Unlike the child-size one, this sweater is worked up-down, because I found that knitting it this way is much easier. Also, I've separated the increasing rounds from the candy corn pattern in my instructions, to simplify the steps and so that you can concentrate on one task at a time. The sweater can be made to (hopefully) fit a wide range of sizes, and I have tried my best to give all the necessary measurements below. Have a great day as always, and I hope you enjoy making this sweater!

Jack-o'-lantern Halloween Hat

Hello knitters! As promised, I bring you the second version of the hat that I designed for this year's Halloween, this time with a row of scary/cute Jack-o'-lanterns + the spider web from the previous hat. It comes in two sizes: for toddlers (2 to 4 years old) and for children under eight years old. I've knit it using baby soft yarn so that it won't bother the wearer. A baby sized hat can also be made from this pattern, but with some adjustments, and though I have not included that size here, I'd be happy to add it if some of you request it. Happy Halloween to you all, and stay safe!

Ghost Party Halloween Hat

Hello my fellow knitters! With my hopes that this year's Halloween will bring us some semblance of normalcy and joy, I decided to start designing for it early. This hat is my first project for the upcoming fall season, and it comes in three sizes for adults. It features a cute round of heart-eyed ghosts having a great time. I’m done working on another version of this hat for toddlers and children, which comes with a spooky round of Jack-o'-lanterns instead. Both hat designs have a spider web pattern at the top, with a small pompom that (I decided) represents a fluffy spider (feel free to add googly eyes and black pipe cleaners if you like). I love designing intarsia themed patterns, though sometimes, I struggle with it. But when all goes well, these patterns look very cute and are super easy to make. So have fun making this hat, and remember, it's never too early to start knitting Halloween/Fall patterns. Stay safe and healthy!
