Hashtag Mittens

Hi knitters! As I mentioned in my previous post, when I finish a project and still have some yarn left, I try to make use of it by creating accessories for the main piece. So first I made the Hashtag Jacket, then with the leftover yarn I made the Hashtag Slouchy, and now, made with the last remains of the skeins, I present to you the Hashtag Mittens. Making mittens was a challenge for me at first, because it took me a while to get used to the double pointed knitting needles, a must for knitting a small tube shape. In addition to that, I was using more than one yarn, and adopting the mosaic pattern into the mittens' pattern, all at the same time. But the result was worth the hard work, and I'm very pleased with these mittens. 2020 was the year of hats for me, so maybe this year will be the year of mitten projects. Be sure that I'll share my future designs with you all. Stay safe and healthy and have happy knitting days!

Leaf Assortment Scarf

Hello friends! As per usual, I bought this lovely yarn without a previous plan of what I would be doing with it, I just really loved the color combo, and I like challenging myself this way. So after a session of brain storming and researching I decided that a leafy pattern is the most suitable. All you need to focus on regarding this pattern is how to make the longer types of crochet stitches. Once you get the hang of that, you just keep on repeating the same two rows over and over. I think this color combo is lovely for this project, but you can absolutely choose any other color pallet you fancy and make a different leaf assortment.
I hope you all like it! Stay safe and Healthy.

Tiny Royal Baby Blanket

Few months ago, I was browsing Pinterest, and I came across this new crochet technique called the Element CAL. what does it mean? I didn't know then, but I liked it so much that I started crocheting immediately. I followed the tutorial videos posted by itsallinanutshell.com, which I thank so much for the gorgeous Element CAL design and clear instructions. This technique needs a lot of concentration if its your first time trying it, nevertheless, with time your work will go smoothly.

I had a small bag full of cotton yarn (catania and alize), so I started working on this project inspired by the Element CAL pattern, and now I proudly present to you my Tiny Royal Baby Blanket.
