Hello everyone! This shawl is my latest addition in what I’m now calling ‘2021 Summer Shawl Collection’! As I recall all the shawls I made in the last season, I’ve recognized some common features that made this collection unique from the ones I made before: the type of yarn I used (medium and light worsted), mono colors, and a general pattern repetition. I now realize that sticking to these elements when designing helped me produce easy, yet beautiful pieces. Now back to this shawl. At first, I had many concerns about using this shade of red, because it kind of obscured most of the patterns I tried in my trial phase. I finally settled on this simple pattern that made me really satisfied with how the shawl turned out. I’m very proud of how it looks and how the color makes it both eye catching while it inspires a feeling of warmth in you. I hope you have a lovely time knitting it as I did. Stay safe and healthy!

Greetings everyone! Shawlettes and small scarves are so cute! and sometimes, are the key element in a chic look. That’s why I design at least one every year. This shawlette features a botanical-inspired, leaf-shaped pattern that flows in vertical stripes, all contained in a triangle structure. The challenging part in making this piece is getting the hang of knitting two types of Double Stitch Decreases, for which you will be happy to know that I've made a very short video tutorial about. Yes! at last, I've started my own YouTube channel, where I will show you how to knit/crochet the more complex stitches used in my designs. I would love to hear your feedback after you watch them, and I’m open to your constructive criticism. This shawlette is my last cotton-based design for this year; I'll start working with heavier yarns that suit the cold weather in my upcoming projects. Until then, I hope you all stay well and healthy.

Hello everyone! Now that fall is here, it's finally getting cool enough to work with yarn comfortably. I see a lot of neat and eye-catching knitting patterns while browsing the web, and I especially like ones that are inspired by botanical or geometrical shapes. So, for this piece, I joined two of these exceptionally beautiful patterns into one. I had a fun time while making this shawl because the pattern knits very smoothly. It can be flexibly made as small or as large as you prefer. I made it using cotton yarn so that it’s suitable to throw on whenever it gets a little chilly. I hope you enjoy yourselves while you knit it and have a great time!

Hello my fellow knitters! It's been a while since I've designed a shawl, and I'm happy to do so since it my comfort zone, and I never lack ideas for creating new ones. This shawl is asymmetrical, but very easy to knit. Once you cast on the first five stitches, the rest is an easy sail. After you reach the general pattern, you'll just have to repeat it until you reach the size you prefer. A couple of things you need to pay extra attention to are the one stitch increase (m1) -which I've made the placement of clear in my tutorial photos- and the knitting seven stitches out of one stitch, for which I used knitting needles one size larger than the recommended for this weight of yarn, to make it easier to get the seven stitches out of one. Wish you all a happy time while knitting, and I hope you enjoy making this shawl.
