Summer Granny Square part 2 - Baby Blanket Edition




As promised, here is part two of my Summer Granny Square project, where I show you how to make a baby blanket using the granny square posted in a previous post. this is the perfect gift for a baby born in the coming fall and winter. I hope you have fun making it, Happy crocheting!






Level: intermediate 



Materials:

  • Yarn: Alize Diva Baby, yarn weight: 100 g/ 3.53 oz. 350 m/ 383 yds, thin sport. 2 skeins of each:  pistachio 117 (A), powder 143 (B), turquoise 287 (C), coffee foam 314 (D), yellow 187 (E),  cream 1.
  • Crochet Hook: 3 mm.
  • Tapestry needle.




Gauge: 20 sts x 14 rows in 10x10 cm (4x4 inches) in double crochet stitch.

Measures: 109 x 74 cm/ 42.5 x 29 inches approx.

Yardage: 4000 - 4100 meters /4375 - 4485 yards approx.





Instructions

With yarn color A, B, C, D and E, make 14 granny squares each. link to the granny square tutorial post → here

Blanket assembly:

I used a simple method in joining the granny squares; crocheting them together from the front, you can find a tutorial → here.

Follow the joining pattern in the picture bellow.



Make two rounds of sc crochet edging along the for sides, 2 sc sts in corners. weave in ends, block if needed.
