Easter Chick Granny Square

Important notice: This written pattern has been reviewed and updated on June 1st, 2021.

While I was on Pinterest, getting ideas for my Bunny Granny Square of this year's Easter, many lovely pictures of chicks popped up in front of me, in the form of amigurumi, coasters and granny squares. So, as soon as I finished designing my previous one, I started planning this new granny square. As a whole, I'm proud of my animal themed granny squares set so far, and I hope the future ones will be as cute and easy to make too.

I wish you all a joyful time crocheting this project, and happy Easter again to all of you who celebrate it. Don't forget to stay safe and healthy, and take care of yourselves.

Year Of The Ox Granny Square

Important notice: This written pattern has been reviewed and updated on June 9th, 2021. A chart has also been added.

Hi everyone! It's an every year contribution I've been doing, to come up with a granny square that has the face of the current year's Chinese zodiac animal. So far I've made the chicken, the dog, the rat, and now the ox. And I've also enjoyed making other animal granny squares, such as the cat and the frog, and have a few in the making (a rabbit and other animals) that I'm going to post in the future.
The only hard part for me when designing these granny squares is to show as many face traits as possible, while keeping the square easy to make. I think I've nailed it this time. So enjoy making this cute ox as a granny square unit for a baby blanket perhaps, plus, you can totally change the colors to make it look like a cow.
Stay safe and healthy, and happy (belated) Chinese new year!

Valentine's Coaster

Hi everyone! what a fast paced year, it's already February! This means two wonderful events are upon us; Valentines first, then the Chinese New Year. It took me a while to figure out what my contribution for this year's Valentines will be, and It's all about love and gifts, reminding our nearest and dearest that they are always in our hearts, so I thought "hearts it shall be!". One of the simplest and quickest pieces that you can work for this occasion is making a coaster set, It has a personal touch, could be gifted to whoever you fancy, whether young or old, far or near. So a coaster with a cute heart pattern seemed like the best idea, since it requires no time to make, a few yards of material is all you'll need, and a verity of versions can be made. Happy Valentines day to you and all your family members and loved ones.
