Hi everyone! This Christmas ornament is a matching piece to one of my most popular designs, my Christmas Wreath Ornament, which I made a few years ago. Until now I am both astonished and grateful for all the attention that post has gained, and so for this year I decided to come up with a new ornament inspired by it. About this Santa ornament, I used a plastic ring that I purchased from a crafts store as a base to crochet Santa faces around it in a circle. You can swap for a bigger or smaller ring than the one I used easily and make as many faces as you want by allocating six double crochet stitches in the first round for each face. I hope you have fun with this quick and easy project, and make sure to check out my other Christmas crochet projects.

I love the Santa ornament. I don't like the diagram for the pattern. I would like printed directions for it. I also like the wreath ornament but as I skimmed down the directions it seemed like they were for it, not Santa. If I purchase the pattern do I get both written out?
ReplyDeleteHi there! I am glad you liked my Christmas ornament designs, but I didn't fully understand your question. Both posts have fully written instructions. Could you please tell me what is the problem?. Have a nice day.
DeleteSorry, I do love the Santa and I intend to make it. When I saw the green yarn I thought your instructions were for the other ornament. I gave it some thought and wondered if I could get a wreath base and use the same idea for a wreath. It would take #6 yarn and a large hook. Maybe you can use this idea and come up with the instructions for it. I would really like to do a wreath.
DeleteMany thanks to you and why not, maybe I'll give it a try when I finish what I'm working on right now. Have a nice day!
