Hi fellow knitters! it's been a while since I've posted a knitting design, so this is officially my first pattern posted in 2024. Braids has always been one of my favorite patterns, but I haven't used it that much in my designs so far. Hopefully, you will see more of my braid-based pieces this year. This hat has a unique braids pattern that runs from the crown of the hat to its brim. The instructions are straightforward and you will get to make it in a short time. It also comes in many sizes that can fit most. I have many ideas cooking in my head for more hats, which I intend to make and post in the upcoming spring, so stay tuned. Have a nice knitting day!
Overview:
- Skill level: Intermediate.
- Instructions style: written pattern + video tutorial.

Is the yarn you are using a DK or Worsted weight? The yarn on your blog looks like a DK, but the name of the yarn on Ravelry looks like a worsted. Your needle size suggests in my mind a DK. Can you clarify... Because the needles size you are using with a worsted to me would produce and give a very dense fabric. Thanks for your help. This is going to be a gift... So I want it to be perfect ❤️.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the hat is absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to get started. Thanks! -SasZ
Hello Sasz, I purchased this yarn thinking that it was worsted, but when I used it I found out that it wasn't. So the needles sizes that I've used are suitable with my knitting gauge, but you can use sizes US 6 and 7 instead. Have a nice day.
