Hi friends! It’s been a long time since I've posted a design. I had some family affairs to sort out, but now I'm so thrilled to show you what I have been working on. When I came across the pattern that I ended up using for this skirt, I was quite taken by its simplicity and elegance. What's more is that it looks very nice on both sides, and so I chose it for my comeback design: a reversible mini skirt. It is very easy to make, and you can adjust it to suit your body. Both the width of the waistband, and the length of the skirt can be easily altered to match your precise measurements. You might have noticed that that this skirt has a curly hem –which I decided to keep– to give it a distinguished look. However, if you're not a fan of that, no problem, add a few garter rounds to make it less prone to twisting. I used Lion brand's self-striping mandala yarn in a pastel palette to add some color variation and to give the skirt a youthful look. I chose two different colors for the buttons to differentiate between the two side. Finally, I wish you all an enjoyable time while you get to knit your own.
My daughter kept laughing during the skirt's photoshoot. Size shown is small. |
