Scalloped Chocolate Shawlette

Hello everyone! Using bulky yarn to knit a small piece can sometimes be challenging, because you have to work with a few stitches to get the shape and pattern you have in mind. This shawlette has its unique outline, a scalloped border decorating two of its three edges. I used two different approaches to obtain that shape on the two sides. I think it turned out well and I am very happy with this elegant piece of accessory. I've also made a matching hat, which will be posted soon. For the hat, I will show you another way of getting scallops in a cast on way to make the edge, so stay tuned. Stay safe and healthy!

  1. This looks so pretty. Is there a way to do this to make it larger to fit a plus size woman and in a DK yarn? Thanks so much.

  3. Hi Marcia, thank for the nice comment. It can definitely be made larger, but I'm afraid not in DK yarn, because its concept relies on working with bulky yarn.
Have a safe and healthy day.
