Bunny Granny Square

Important notice: This written pattern has been reviewed and updated on June 1st, 2021.

Hi everyone! I think it's obvious by now how much I love crocheting animal-themed granny squares, as It has become something of a tradition for me to make one inspired by the Chinese zodiac every year. I have also made other animals before, and will keep on designing as many of these as I can. I will try to keep them as simple and minimal as possible, and I will maintain the same measurements, so that -if wanted- they can be used together in one bigger project, like a blanket, for example.
This time, I wanted to design an Easter Bunny granny square. I looked up a lot of bunny references online; real, drawn, embroidered, or crocheted, in order to make the best facial features and ear shape that can both fit inside the square, and still look like a bunny. I went through more trials than you can imagine, and in the end, I decided to let the ears be long and go outside the square -for maximum cuteness haha-. If you intend to make this as a blanket unit, it will still looks nice, just make sure not to position it at the boarders.
I hope you all have fun making this one, and happy Easter.

Valentine's Coaster

Hi everyone! what a fast paced year, it's already February! This means two wonderful events are upon us; Valentines first, then the Chinese New Year. It took me a while to figure out what my contribution for this year's Valentines will be, and It's all about love and gifts, reminding our nearest and dearest that they are always in our hearts, so I thought "hearts it shall be!". One of the simplest and quickest pieces that you can work for this occasion is making a coaster set, It has a personal touch, could be gifted to whoever you fancy, whether young or old, far or near. So a coaster with a cute heart pattern seemed like the best idea, since it requires no time to make, a few yards of material is all you'll need, and a verity of versions can be made. Happy Valentines day to you and all your family members and loved ones.

Granny Square Wreath

This is my second contribution for this year's Christmas season. It is a granny square prototype that can be used by itself as a coaster (with the plastic ring), or you can crochet many (without the plastic ring) and assemble to make a doily, a blanket, or any other Christmas themed home decoration. It is a little bit different than the wreath ornament I've made in the previous post, though they have the same concept. I hope you like it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Red Heart Cushion Cover

Hi Friends! It's March! and I love this month that brings the first signs of spring, especially after a very long winter.

My mind is swarming with ideas, but time cuts my work just like a sharp sword. I like the C2C technique and the pixelated drawings, and from time to time I make a project inspired by it.

And since I have boxes and boxes of scrap yarn in my rack (and on top of my wardrobe, basically, It taking over all the storage space in my house), I've designed and crocheted a cushion cover using some of these left-overs. I also came up with another version that can be worked as scarf ends, and another as a coaster.
