Heart of Hearts Valentines Beret

Hello everyone! It's not usual for me to knit for Valentine’s Day, but I got inspired this year, and thought, why not make a heart themed item that can be a quick gift for a loved one. So, this beret is what I bring you for this year's Valentine’s. I’ve knitted two versions with different yarn weights, as you will see in the rest of this post. For version A, I worked with worsted yarn and used 5 and 6 mm needles, which produced a hat that turned out very big with a loose fit. As for version B I switched to a multi colored, sport weight yarn, which I knitted using 4 and 4.5 mm needles. The resulting hat was more fitted this time. I personally think that both versions have their own charm, so it is up to you to decide which one to make based on what fit you prefer. Hope you all have a love filled Valentine’s Day!

Christmas Lotus Hat

Hello knitters! I present to you all, my last Christmas project for this year! To be honest, this is the first hat I designed for Christmas this year, and I gave the original version to my adorable niece –who wears it every day to school!– but I never got around to write down the pattern for it until now.

The pattern for this hat is so bright and nice, it is a simple type of mosaic pattern, and needs multiples of four stitches count by four rounds. I don't know what the exact name for this pattern is, but when I look at it I see lotus flowers (not to be mistaken for the lotus flower ‘stitch’). I also made a video on my YouTube channel to show you the cool twist in making it. I hope you find it easy to knit after watching, and I’d love to hear your opinions in the comments. It's been a challenging year for everyone now, so I leave you this last Christmas post, with my sincerest wishes that 2022 would be a better year, filled with love, health, and knitting! Merry Christmas everyone, and happy new year!!

Christmas Wreath Hat

Hello everyone! It’s been quite some time since I’ve made a hat for the little ones, and since my theme for this Christmas season is hats, it’s the kids’ turn now to get a special holiday design. I wanted to try something different as the main feature for this hat, to distinguish it from my Christmas Lights Hat of last year, and Christmas Angel Hat and Christmas Gifts Hat that I’ve done this year. So, I decided to knit a wreath themed hat. I’m making this one in three sizes: for a newborn, an infant, and a toddler. The width of the wreath pattern unit can be sort of restrictive when you try to design for multiple sizes, but luckily each pattern repetition I added landed me on the next size. If you like the design and want to make one for yourself, you can definitely do that. You just knit one more pattern repetition and that’s how you get the adult size. I’ve got one more hat design for kids that I’ll be sharing soon, so stay tuned. I hope you all enjoy making this quick and easy hat and get to gift and/or share it with your precious ones.

Dusky Sky Hat

Hi knitters! It’s finally winter, and while it’s still quite warm here, I’m sure it’s very cold and windy these days in other parts of the world, where wearing a cozy hat is a must, nowadays. I really liked the color palette of this yarn the moment I saw it, because of its pastel, and I’m a sucker for anything pastel. The knit and purl pattern seemed like the best choice for it, adding a nice illusion to the final look. It can be worn in more than one way: covering or above the ears. So here it is: a very easy pattern that you can make in one day to keep you warm for months to come. And while I didn't — because I like how the top looks and wanted to show it to you guys— you can also add a cute fluffy pompom on top. Stay Cozy!

Christmas Gifts Hat

Hey fellow knitters! After my last post, Christmas Angel Hat, I decided that I definitely had to make a few other Christmas-themed hats while I still had time and inspiration. I was on a roll, so I made a couple for my niece and another one that I gifted to my in-laws. I will be posting both designs if I can as soon as possible. As for today's hat, the main feature is a row of gift boxes wrapped in colorful ribbon with a bow on top. During the design stage, I tried my best to make the details of the gift box look distinguishable yet easy to knit. You can find a thorough guide, with easy and neat steps on how to knit this hat in my tutorial video posted down below in the instructions section. If you get to make this hat, please share some pictures with me, I would love to see your work! I wish you all a merry holidays' season.
