Swirl Wave Hat

Hi my fellow crocheters and happy holidays! It's time to start Christmas gifts preparations, and one of the best and simplest handmade gifts to make would be hats in Christmas colors.
This hat is so easy to make, once you read the instructions carefully, you will finish it in no time, and you can make as many as you need to fit the heads of all your beloved ones. With this design, I tried to crochet the same number of stitches but with different yarn weights and hook sizes, and came out with three hats: the first one is toddler sized (1-4 years), a larger one that fits a child (6-10 years), and the last one is adult sized.
Keep a look out for my other Christmas designs, I'll be posting in the upcoming weeks, and don't forget to check out my previous Christmas projects (click here). Merry Christmas to you all, and I hope you stay safe and healthy.

  9. Thank you for this great looking hat! Please help me understand Round 6. Round 5 has 2 fpdc, if I skip one and fpdc 2 in the next, then the next stitch is a dc, where is the stitch for the fpdc in fpdc? I'm excited about this fun project!

  10. Hi! I'm not understand "fpdc 1 in fdpc twice" and subsequently "four times" in rounds 8 and 9. The "twice" and "four times" are what's throwing me off. I love the pattern and have been good up until now. Thanks so much!!

    1. Hi, "fpdc 1 in fdpc twice": repeat {front post double crochet once in the front post double crochet of the previous round} two times, and four times, and as many as indicated in the instructions. I hope this is clear.
I will make a video to clarify this on my YouTube channel soon. I'll give a notice.
