Pink Magnolia Shawl

It is obvious at this point that I am a big shawl fan. Looking over all my previous shawl designs you can see that some are knitted, others are crocheted, some are mono or multi-colored, with the yarn weight used varying from chunky, bulky, and worsted to fine. What makes this shawl different is that it has two sets of patterns that swap along its length. Using a multi-colored yarn had a nice effect, and I am quite satisfied with the finished product.
This shawl can be made using one color of yarn, and still look gorgeous I am sure. And as always, you are free to ask me anything if you have trouble following the instructions. I look forward to seeing your finished works!
Have nice crochet times!

Edging rows

You can repeat the pattern as many times as you decide, work the last edging rows:
note: in the next row, always skip 2 dc and ch 2 space between the main dc sts that make the main boxes in the pattern.

Row 1: ch 8, dc in tr, *dc in dc twice, ch 5, dc in dc twice, repeat from * to dc before the center ch 5 space, dc in dc, dc in ch 5 space, ch 5, dc in ch 5 space, dc in dc, *ch 5, dc in dc twice, repeat from * to first ch 5 of previous row, where you make dc in

Row 2: ch 1, *(sc 3, make 1 picot, ch 7, make 1 picot, ch 3) in ch 5 space, repeat from * to end, cut yarn, weave in loose ends, block if needed, put on and enjoy.

  1. I am interested in trying this out, but what do you mean just before Row 37, 55 and row 74 saying 'Swap the pattern'? Also, what is the weight of the yarn in case I can't fine the one you used?

    1. Hello and welcome
What I meant by swapping the pattern is to explain that there are actually two different patterns along the center line of the Shawl worked alternately. Just ignore the note and crochet on, you will get the meaning.
Mind my English, I'm not a native speaker :)
Yarn that is suitable for this project is either fingering or sport.

      Have a nice day
