Blocked Colors Knitted Scarf

Hello everyone, this is my sixth scarf/shawl in a row. I've been very inspired lately. For this scarf I mixed a multicolored yarn with single colored yarns. The most difficult thing was finding the exact colors in the multicolored one as single colors.

You only need to know how to knit and purl. I wanted to make it using Christmas colors, but I couldn't find any that I liked.

Materials

*Yarn:
- Nako Vizon Anatolia: (100% premium acrylic, 100 g/ 3.53 Oz, 210 m/ 230 yds):
  • color number 80738), 2 skeins (A)
- Nako Vizon:  (100% premium acrylic, 100 g/ 3.53 Oz, 195 m/ 213 yds):
  • Color number 217, Black: 1 skeins (B).
  • Color number 10121, Deep Pink: 1 skein (C).
- Bonbon Classic: (100% acrylic, 100 g/ 3.53 Oz, 200 m/ 219 yds):
  • Color number 98232, Dark Violet: 1 skein (D).
*Knitting Needles: 4.5 mm/ 7 US

*Tapestry Needle

Gauge: 32 sts * 22 rows in 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inch (single rib pattern).

Level: Easy

Measurements:  26 cm / 10 inches X 158 cm / 62 inches

Terms Used:
  • k: knit
  • p: purl

Single Rib Pattern

Row : (Even number of stitches) k 1, p 1 to end of row.

Important Notes:

Note 1: since you are working vertical stripes colors, always twist threads between the stripes, so you attach them  well and don't get holes.

Note 2: I decide the number of rows depending on the color sequences of yarn A, so if you use another yarn brand, the number of rows might differ.

Note 3: all rows are worked in Single Rib Pattern.

Note 4: to make the scarf look neat, start all rows with selvage stitch.
