Lacy Zigzag Scarf

Since it's the start of fall, it's time to bring out the heavy yarn. Red Heart's super saver yarn was a challenge to work with for me, and it took me a while to figure out what is the most suitable design for this one skein I had shipped all the way from the US. After a few trials, I decided to make a scarf by merging two opposing textures: lacework and bulkiness. The resulting pattern is a repetition of 14 rows with a pattern that meanders in a zigzag shape.
To soften the stiffness of this yarn, I've soaked the finished scarf in cold water with half a cup of white vinegar for about 30 minutes before blocking. The result was a success.
Have a nice and healthy fall and stay safe!

Wrap Me in Sunshine Shawl

Hello friends! I got to say I was really excited to get my hands on some cotton based yarn this summer. It's been one heat wave after another for the last few weeks, so I was glad when I finally got to work on my Scheepjes whirl that I bought a couple of months ago. It has a beautiful color gradient, so it deserved to be made into an elegant and sophisticated piece. I've enjoyed every minute working on this shawl and the pattern repetitions in different colors came out really nice. It would sure be suitable for a fancy outing on a chilly night. I hope you knit with patience. I'm sure once you start, you will get into a rhythm, and the written pattern will lead you all the way to the finish line.
Stay safe and healthy, and good luck!

Windows Shawl

Note: Written instructions have been updated and a chart has been added on March 1st, 2021.

Hello fellow crocheters! This piece was my contribution to AllFreeCrochet's 10th Birthday Celebration back in June (thank you AllFreeCrochet.com for the Invitation!). This shawl is pretty to wear and easy to make. It features a simple window pattern, and is surprisingly asymmetrical. I added fringes to give it a sharper shape, and I am very happy with the final look. I hope that you all will like and make this shawl yourselves. Stay safe and healthy and happy crocheting!
